Crowd besieges a British Consulate
Ten thousand shouting Chinese students demon- strated for three hours outside the British Consu- late in Shanghai yesterday. Five hundred armed police guarded the build- ing.
The demonstrators were protesting against British evictions of Chinese in con- demned huts in Kowloon, Crown territory Hong Kong.
